Behavior of Magnetically-Driven Concrete (MDC) Filled Double-Skin GFRP Tubes (CFDGT) Under Axial Compression

In order to study the axial compression behavior of magnetically-driven concrete (MDC) filled double-skin GFRP tubes (CFDGT), test was conducted on eight columns (the length ranged from 1,000 mm 3,000 mm). For MDC, a magnetic vibration device established vibrate and two series MDC (concrete with without vibration) were adopted investigate effect, research results showed that between circular could be effectively vibrated by force. CFDGT load-displacement curves, load-strain failure modes ultimate loads tested obtained. After test, finite element model proposed predict carry out parametric analysis. The design equations for load CFDGTs derived results, comparison can accurately conservatively, maximum calculation error controlled within 10%.
